Company: Ameritus LLC Contact: Jeb Scherb Address: 205 West Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL, 60606, USA Phone: 001 312 332 9920 Website: askameritus.com Established in 1999, Ameritus offers a fully integrated operating and management platform. Ameritus offers these core services to its capital partners and third-party clients, and are fundamental to its success in creating and maintaining value for investors. The firm feels strongly about the alignment of interests, and as such, has the willingness and significant capability to invest in real estate projects along with its capital partners. Ameritus has been involved in the acquisition, redevelopment, leasing, management, and investment sales in access of a billion dollars of creative office buildings in the Chicagoland area over the past decade totalling over 1.5 million square feet. Over its history, the firm’s investment activities have been focused on repositioning assets into modern and functional buildings which serve the needs of today’s tenants. Ameritus has a passion for preserving the grand architecture of the past while making modern improvements which benefit both tenants and the environment. Ameritus has been awarded the “TOBY” Award by BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) in the Renovated Building category for both 211 W. Wacker Drive and 205 W. Wacker Drive, both of which have also achieved LEED Gold status. Ameritus’ development team has a keen sense of preserving the unique history of a creative office building and incorporating that history into a modern creative office theme. For example, their AI180019 redevelopment of 205 W. Wacker Drive in Chicago from a 1927 art deco building that was built for the Operating Engineers Union, now houses the engineers of today working at software and technology companies. Ameritus’ renovation of the classic art deco lobby incorporates fixtures from the art deco period blended with contemporary fixtures and finishes. Examples include restoration of the plaster frieze and capital on the columns, a Louie Poulson 1950’s inspired artichoke contemporary light fixture, historic pendant light fixtures and a contemporary mocha chocolate wooden bridge which runs the length of the lobby ceiling and is symbolic of bridging the gap between the past building engineers and today’s software engineers. During the renovation of 213 W. Institute Place in Chicago, Ameritus uncovered some unique historical artifacts that led to changing the lobby theme to be representative of the building’s past as one of the first bicycle manufacturing plans in the US. Upon this discovery, Ameritus conducted extensive research into the history of Gormully and Jeffry and implemented brochures, artwork and finishes throughout the building from G&J’s advertising campaign in the 1880’s. The Ameritus Team consists of talented individuals who have successfully developed and managed businesses at national real estate firms and entrepreneurial investment boutiques. At these firms, Ameritus’ key principals have been involved in over $4 Billion of commercial real estate transactions and investments. Individually, each member of the firm contributes a valuable and unique skill set with core competencies in leasing, management, and investment acquisitions. When working in concert, these complimentary capabilities serve as the foundation of Ameritus’ dynamic commercial real estate platform designed to provide a high level of service to both the firm’s investors and clients. Ultimately, drawing on this vast industry experience, Ameritus has a bright and exciting future ahead of it as the firm seeks to build on its current success and provide its stakeholders with even greater support and service over the years to come.
