For Anja, the optimal client relationship involves supporting clients through the full process of fund raising, from day one. But what does this mean? Anja explains. “For us, fully guiding a client through the fundraising process starts with designing a complete and professional pre-marketing package. We provide strategic advice, prepare and/or improve a client’s current marketing materials with its input, and work with them to create convincing and authentic messages, that are further conveyed through presentation coaching. Then, when state-of-the-art marketing materials and processes are ready, we contact investors and set up road shows, followed by due diligence meetings, and ultimately fund closings. Once the fundraising is completed, we conduct a debriefing with each client to critically analyse the full process and discuss our investor relation services. The key here is to offer a tailor-made solution to each client, with a strong alignment of interests between the two parties. In that regard, we differ from most of our peers, who try to push a client into a pre-planned scheme. “We strive to be honest, prudent, and patient with our clients and investors. In particular, we are careful to remain free from conflicts of interest and have never accepted a conflicting assignment, which helps us provide the highest quality service possible for our clients. CH Advisors fully complies with regulatory frameworks in Europe (AIFMD) and Switzerland (Finma). We support our clients to find the optimal legal structure for their marketing in different jurisdictions. As our team is multilingual, we can offer our service in Swiss German, German, English, Spanish and French, which gives us a competitive advantage as we are able to link with local Limited Partners and General Partners to break down language barriers.” Another key advantage which sets the firm apart from its competitors, as Anja points out, is that CH Advisors has deep roots in private equity. This is not only from the sell-side, but also from the buy-side. In sales, the team has successfully raised capital for predominantly European private equity and private real estate funds, alongside US and Asian funds, mainly from European investors. From the buy-side, the team has worked for a Swiss family office, and corporate and independent fund-of-funds. “This experience provides us with an in-depth knowledge of both the buy and sell-side of the business, and allows us to understand fund investors’ needs and requirements in an ever-changing market.
