Company: PwC Name: Paul Robertson Email: [email protected] Address: Embankment Place, London Phone: 07850907527 Since the team started at PwC in 2011, with 3 people, they have seen amazing year on year growth, now standing at approximately 30 people in 2016. They have built themselves up consistently via a mix of new and repeat business, and the key, to this has been in building relationships. Paul claims that their ability to deliver fantastic work has also been key to facilitating this growth. “Our mission at PwC is to be the partner of choice when people have an unusual or particularly difficult problem. We can do all of the standard builds, reviews and exercises, and we thrive on complicated challenges and breaking new ground in the industry. Our most important asset is our people. Everyone in our team is a specialist in either Business Continuity or Crisis Management, sometimes both, as well as bringing a range of skills from their personal backgrounds; we have a Dr of Risk, Lawyer, Emergency Responder and Behavioural Psychologist in the team. “Since joining the team, people focus on performing specific types of work, and we actively encourage and promote working across the range of resilience disciplines, as we sit with Enterprise Resilience, IT DR and Enterprise Security teams. This broad range of skills at a junior level means that as people progress up through the firm, they may gain a specific specialism, but they retain the broader understanding of resilience. “In addition, we always make sure that each engagement has a suitable blend of experience and quality review to ensure that all of our deliverables are of the highest standard. By always working in teams and mixing who those teams are, we allow the cross pollination of ideas of best practice across our staff.” The industry has grown and matured over the last 10 years, with more organisations having the basic structures in place, but they now want assurance that it would actually work in practice; PwC will look to continue to grow in line with this.
