While the sector has experienced some challenges, particularly in the office and residential market, opportunities in the alternative market- including education and retail- are proving to be a promising prospect for those wanting to capitalise on the region’s growing economy. ENBD REIT’s approach to acquisitions is to focus on high-quality properties with high occupancies across alternative, office and residential asset classes, with 4 such properties added to the portfolio in 2017. ENBD REIT is targeting an asset allocation of: (i) 50-60% of office assets; (ii) 20- 25% of residential assets; and (iii) 25-35% in the alternative real estate sector.” Finally, Julia takes a moment to discuss ENBD REIT’s future, as it looks towards further growth and diversification: “Going forward, ENBD REIT remains active in seeking out strategic acquisitions that will help to grow and diversify the portfolio.
