Trustly and Paytweak Announce New Innovative Payment Solution for European Merchants
Digital Deal: Tech Partnership Handshake.

Trustly, the world’s industry leader in Account-to-Account (A2A) payments, announces the signing of a strategic partnership with Paytweak, a French fintech specialising in modern payment links. This 100% SEPA solution integrates Paytweak’s smart payment connections into Trustly’s A2A journeys. It will also act as an extension to Paytweak platform capabilities through Trustly’s direct, instant, and recurring banking infrastructure. This collaboration gives rise to a unified payment offering that complies with European regulatory requirements, combining simplicity of use, security, and operational efficiency for businesses across the continent.

A tech synergy to modernise payments

While recurring payments are becoming more widespread, 44% of European businesses identify them as a barrier to their growth* due to high costs, fraud, and collection delays. The partnership between Trustly and Paytweak addresses this issue, offering an integrated solution that can be activated without complex development and is tailored to various business use cases.

Paytweak customers can easily activate Trustly’s direct bank payments, without cards or complex integration. This joint solution allows for offering instant, recurring, or localised payments via a simple link, with a mobile-first, smooth, and highly secure experience. Based on a 100% SEPA infrastructure, it’s fully compliant with PSD2 and GDPR standards, and integrates intuitively into accounting, collection, or customer support processes.

Trustly’s direct bank payments, now integrated into the Paytweak platform, offer a smooth, mobile-first, and frictionless experience, designed to optimise every step of the payment journey. This solution allows businesses to:

  • Significantly improve their conversion rates, with performance reaching up to +96%.
  • Reduce fraud by up to 50%, thanks to secure bank authentication.
  • Accelerate collections, without depending on delays related to cards or traditional transfers.
  • Reduce costs by eliminating interchange commissions and card processing fees.
  • Simplify collection operations for field teams, in recovery, or in customer service.

“With this partnership, we strengthen our commitment to offering payment solutions truly adapted to the realities of the French and European market,” emphasizes Jérémy Pons, Chief Commercial Officer Southern Europe at Trustly. “This announcement reflects our ambition to make payments a true strategic asset for businesses. By integrating our solutions within the Paytweak environment, we give French players direct access to the power of European A2A, in a simple, secure, and high-performing framework.”

“This partnership with Trustly is a natural step in our mission: to simplify payments for businesses while guaranteeing performance and compliance,” declaresJérôme Torricelli, Head of Sales at Paytweak. “By combining our expertise in payment links with Trustly’s banking infrastructure, we offer a credible and European alternative to traditional card-based models.”

This partnership embodies the common ambition to offer a European, smooth, and compliant alternative to existing payment solutions. Building on agile, mobile-first technology designed for today’s uses, Trustly and Paytweak intend to make Account-to-Account (A2A) payment a new standard for business transactions, both in France and across Europe.
